Arunachal Pradesh Human Immunodeficiency Virus and
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome Ombudsman (Legal Proceedings) Rules 2020
The Government of India vide its Gazette Publication No 16 of 2017 Part-II Section -I dated 21st April 2017 has enacted an Act in the name and style of HIV/AIDS, (Prevention and Control) Act 2017.
This Act has to be implemented in all the state and Union Territories under the Union of India.
After obtaining Cabinet approval, the State Rules has been published in the Arunachal Pradesh Gazette, Extraordinary Friday the 6th May 2022 vide No. 133 Vol.XXIX.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 23(1)(b) of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (Prevention and Control) Act, 2017 read with Rule 4 of the Arunachal Pradesh HIV and AIDS (Ombudsman and Legal Proceeding) Rule 2020, Principal Secretary (H&FW) has designated the Director of Health Services, Government of Arunachal Pradesh as Ombudsman vide its Office Order No. MAIDS-IEC/HACT/2018-19 Dated: 29/09/ 2022 w.e.f. Dated: 27/10/ 2022. The term of his functions and responsibilities will be as per the Arunachal Pradesh HIV and AIDS (Ombudsman and Legal Proceeding) Rule 2020.
